Signing up for a Facebook Group is actually very easy, though the selections can be a bit overwhelming. So This is a quick tutorial on how to join a Facebook Group.
To join a group it helps if you find a group that you like and fits your interest. To find a group you can follow these easy steps.
You can go to Facebook Groups in two different ways
You can go to facebook.com/groups here you can explore by clicking on the Discover tab at the top
From here you can then choose from a set of categories like what local groups are available.
- Click in the search box at the top of Facebook
- Type in a topic that is centered around your niche or topic you want to explore. ‘
- You can also look at certain cities or geographical areas. This will help you if you are looking to raise awareness of your business.
- Press enter You will then see all the different groups that fit into that search criteria.
- Now you will need to filter out all the pages people photos and other items that fit into your search criteria so click the Groups tab at the top
- Now you will see all of the different groups that are available for you.
- Look through the groups and find some that you believe is interesting.
Now that you have found a list of groups you would like to join. All you have to do is you can click on the group name in the list and you will then be able to find out a little more about the group by reading the description. or if you have already decided you want to join a particular group then click the join button
There are 3 different types of groups. There are the Open Closed and Private groups.
The Open is you can see who is in the group and what is posted
The Closed is you have to be a member of the group to see what s happening in the group.
Then the Private is by invite only.
Follow the Rules.
Depending on the type of group you have joined many don’t like people to just jump in and start pimping your wares. You need to first read the rules and follow them. If You don’t follow the rules you can get kicked out of the group. So provide value.
Often the community business groups are an advertising center so you may not get much engagement but they often don’t mind you posting your business in the group as long as you are not annoying your group.
