One of the biggest complaints you will find about twitter is there is too much going on. This flood of information that is running across the screen is too much! This normally happens when someone new follows a whole bunch of people.
Or, people will sign up start following about 50 celebrities and wonder what the hubbub is all about. The New user will try to talk to someone and they get nothing, nada, zip, zilch, Zero, a big old’ Goose egg of interaction. With this person will become underwhelmed and leave.
Twitter has been trying to fix this problem and they have come up with a solution. That solution is Twitter Connect.
Where Can You Find Twitter Connect
You can find twitter connect on your Twitter Home screen up on the left-hand side of your mobile device. It will be a person Silhouette with a plus beside it. In the Connect page, you can follow your assortment of celebrities and people you might like to follow because you follow other people. but you will also at the top under the sliding banner, you will see Find Friends.
You will have to allow twitter access to your contacts list. but when you do you will find all sorts of people that you know but never knew that they had a Twitter account.
What benefit does this have?
The big one is summed up in this way. You go to a big Social Mixer. While there you look around to try to find anybody that might look close to interesting. Yet, you don’t see anyone. They are all standing around talking to other people. So, where do you go? over by the punch bowl and proceed to consume inhuman amounts of hors d’oeuvres.
You are bored and wondering why you even went to this dumb mixer. You knew it was a waste of time. You are thinking of leaving. So far sounding a lot like Twitter right?
As you are about to leave, you spy your friend Bob. he is talking to a couple of people. You wave at Bob as you are about to gather your things and Bob waves you over. Bob then interduces you to Dentist Ken and Gary the Carsales man. They are having a lively conversation about how to improve their sales. When Bob points to you and says, “Hey, you are the Marketing Genious of the group What do you think?” Boom like that you are in the conversation. That is Twitter connect. We all know that Bob and he can interduce to new people and interesting folks. And your version of Bob is on Twitter right now talking about something interesting. The problem was that you didn’t know that Bob was there.
Twitter made a good move with Twitter connect you can find out that your clients are on Twitter and might be trying to talk anybody who will listen. Be there and jump into the conversation. because Twitter is nothing more than the world’s largest ongoing social mixer. So Step away from the punch bowl and go talk to Bob. When you do you will start growing your followers, and getting the interaction you are wanting.
